Clinical Experience of Acute Hemorrhagic Gastritis Treated by Pyloroplasty:5 Cases

Abstract

|
At Chonnam University Hospital the author experienced 5 cases of acute hemorrhagic gastritis. Those were treated by Pyloroplasty with good results.
Emergency operation was peformed for all cases of massive upper G.I. hemorrhage. In 5 cases of them the author could not find any accurate gross bleeding point but also superficial erosion or oozing at mucosal layer of stomach by exploration of stomach and duodenum.
Those cases were completely treated by pyloroplasty only and remain in good health without any recurrent bleeding for about 5 months to 26 months duration after operation.
Biopsy finding showed "Acute Hemorrhagic Gastritis" in all above cases.
